Septaria have an interesting origin. They are essentially non-living fossils. The ancient mud dried out, petrified, cracked, and over time the cracks were filled with other minerals, including small gold pyrite cubes, and then the formations were covered with other layers.

After cutting the septaria, bizarre drawings and formations appear, resembling various bugs, flowers of children's drawings. In their black-brown-white simplicity, septaria is a beautiful jewelry material, as it looks ethnic and yet elegant.
