Grandidierite Madagascar, extra color, heart no.1

One of the rarest gems in the world, discovered relatively recently (in 1902 in Madagascar, by Professor Grandidier, after whom the stone is named). A beautiful particularly deep deep blue color, very similar perhaps only to indigolite. Hardness 7.5

We cut it into a rather large cabochon-heart, because the usual form of tiny faceted stones that you can meet does not suit it very well. But as we found out, it's probably better to do it :-D grinding Grandidierit is really hard.

Not much is known about grandidierite, but its blue color is the color of communication and the throat chakra, it is a stone with considerable dynamism, so it can stir up many stagnant waters. Therefore, it is best to wear it around the neck. (interferes with the area of the heart and throat chakras).
