A beautiful, not entirely common fossil - a water lily (crynoidea), a predatory marine animal from the Devonian period. It comes from Indonesia. Water lilies, by the way, are still alive today. This is specifically a nicely preserved calyx, of a beautiful lantern shape, reminiscent of the lanterns of the Physalis plant. We would not recommend drilling it, it's a shame.
Like all fossils, this one connects us to the ancient past, nature, and the cycle of life. It is very calming but also playful.
