Beautiful, very nicely mottled flake obsidian, originally from Mexico, cabochon; original hand sander, sanded by us (not very suitable for drilling, it splits, if you want to drill it, expect a split hole)

Flaky obsidian is a classic volcanic igneous glass. Each of the solidified layers has a slightly different composition, and due to temperature changes and the mixing of molten ingredients during solidification, beautiful specks are also created.

Obsidians have been considered mystical stones since ancient times and rightfully so. Ritual knives were and are still made from black obsidian. One of the reasons for their popularity among shamans is their volcanic origin. Their energy is strong, protective and also quite heavy. Platinum obsidian is lighter due to the banding and has a kind of systematicity in it. So it is suitable for all chaotic people.
