Brazilianite is practically only found in Brazil, hence its name :-) and was discovered or determined as a separate mineral relatively recently - only in 1944, (before that it was confused with other minerals).

Lemon Quarz (irradiated rose quartz to a color very similar to Brazilianite and often in the form of a tumbled stone) is sometimes mistaken for Brazilianite, but real Brazilianite has nothing to do with quartz.

In terms of effects, it is a typical representative for the solar chakra, i.e. for strengthening self-confidence, for giving courage and emotional strength. It helps to digest negative feelings and thereby cleanse oneself.
